An Avant-Garde Luxury Stationery Styling Adventure At Aynhoe

Whenever anything comes through our doors, or more likely nowadays through our mailbox, with the words Aynhoe on it, our ears always prick up. I don’t know of any venues quite like this incredible country pile anywhere on this planet, and I do know my fair share of venues (it’s an obsession one might say, but it comes in useful). We’ve been so lucky to be involved with some amazing weddings there, but this would be our first shoot working with some of Britain’s finest suppliers in this, our dream destination, showcasing our luxury stationery.

When I originally saw this inspiration boards for this shoot, my jaw dropped. The perfect styling for an atmosphere as quirky as Aynhoe’s, but with a beautiful modern edge. Something a little off the wall, avant garde and oh so very dream like in these walls made it the perfect setting for this shoot, organised by the amazing Valentina of The Stars Inside and captured beautifully by Emma-Jane Photography.

A seamless blend between fashion and bridal, this gorgeous shoot is an absolute feast for the eyes; picture a bride with wings, subtle smoke bathing the stone floors in a sea of haze and shards of amazing afternoon sun catching on mirrored disco balls strewn across the hall.

We created some completely bespoke pieces, factoring in Valentina’s strong vision and our current obsession with playing with texture and tone. After all, if you can’t create something a little bit extraordinary for a play palace like Aynhoe, then when can you? We used gorgeous white vellum, both foiled in soft gold and printed in black for the table scape, and created bespoke circular menus to fit perfectly under the rippled glass plates, which sat alongside monochrome cocktail menus. Our Lilly invitation suite was recreated with a clear perspex and gold foil invitation, which partnered perfectly with black envelopes and opulent gold calligraphy.

The table plan we created for this shoot was a true highlight for us. Circular and laser etched, this clear perspex piece has to be one of our favourite creations and was styled to utter perfection. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how it came out!

Each individual component of the shoot was executed to the highest levels; the floral installations truly took our breath away, the cake was simply astounding and we loved the beautiful British bridal designers featured (Suzanne Neville and our Brides The Show friends Eliza Jane Howell) and how their gowns rounded off a truly magical aesthetic.
